Step 1


  • Make sure the battery cable is disconnected before attempting this repair

Step 2


  • Open the chromebook and lift the bezel gently with the pry tool

Step 3


  • Work your way along the outside or the inside of the bezel (there will be an adhesive holding the bezel in place if this is the first LCD replacement on this device)

Step 4


  • Remove the 4 screws holding the LCD in place and lift it out of the top cover

Step 5


  • Place the LCD face down and peel off the tape covering the LCD cable connector

Step 6


  • Separate the LCD cable from the LCD and set the old LCD to the side

Step 7


  • Grab the new LCD and connect the LCD cable

Step 8


  • Line the LCD brackets up on the hinges and make sure the LCD cable is routed correctly

Step 9


  • Replace the 4 screws that you removed earlier

Step 10


  • Snap the bezel back into place
