Step 1
- Flip the chromebook and remove all 9 screws
Step 2
- Place the chromebook rightside up and open it
Step 3
- Lift the palmrest slowly with a pry tool, working your way around the edges
Step 4
- Once the palmrest is separated from the bottom cover, disconnect the battery cable
Step 5
- Lift the connector tabs and disconnect the trackpad cable and the keyboard cable
Step 6
- Set the assembly to the side
Step 7
- Grab the new assembly, and connect the ribbon cables
Step 8
- Reconnect the battery cable
Step 9
- Snap new assembly back into place
Step 10
- Replace 9 screws on the bottom of the chromebook
