As tech directors, your Chromebooks are incredibly valuable assets. In this day and age, especially in light of the coronavirus pandemic, education relies heavily on technology to operate smoothly. That’s why it’s incredibly important to invest in gear to protect them from damage, as well as prepare for any issues that are likely to arise. Now that school is out for the summer, it’s the perfect time to take a closer look at your inventory to make sure you have all of these essentials!

1. Tempered Glass Screen Protectors

Broken screens are a very common pain point when it comes to Chromebook repair. While you can follow along with the walkthroughs from our repair guide library, it’s definitely more ideal to try and avoid the damage in the first place. With our tempered glass screen protectors, you can help to prevent damage to your Chromebook screens before it happens.

Application is simple! Peel the tape at one side of the tempered glass, tuck the corners in place within the beveled edges of the LCD, then slowly set the glass, smoothing out air pockets as you go.

2. AC Adapters

Summer means that it’s time to take a good long look at your inventory, and what’s one of the first accessories that come to mind when tracking your stock? AC Adapters! They are the type of accessory that anything can really happen to, especially being in family homes throughout the school year. The new puppy could mistake them for chew toys, drinks could spill on them, you name it. But without power, your student’s Chromebook is rendered useless and it’s essential that these are replaced.

3. Chromebook Skins

Our new Chromebook Skins are the perfect new accessory for your devices. With a simple application process, not only will the skin hide previous cosmetic damage, it will also prevent any new damage from happening in the future. We all know that anything can happen when it comes to students and damaging their devices - they could drop it, it could be scraped up by other things they carry in their bags, the list goes on and on.

Similarly to the tempered glass, application is simple! Begin by removing the cut outs for the Chromebook logo, then peel one side, properly line it up with the edges and cut outs, then slowly apply, pressing out any air pockets as they occur.

4. Repair Tools

Lastly, if you’re repairing Chromebooks in-house (if you aren’t, here are a few reasons that repairing in-house might be a good idea for you), you’re going to need the proper tools. A well-equipped and organized workstation is really important for every tech director as you take the summer to repair damages that happened during the school year. It’s important to have things well organized and readily available, making the repairs run smoothly and quickly. You can also follow along with our repair guides, each listing the tools you’ll need to perform the repair.
